Now It’s Time to Reveal It

There is a story about a giant Golden Buddha statue that was covered in heavy, gray clay to keep it safe during a war. For decades, everyone forgot the gold was there. They thought it was just a plain, ordinary statue.
YOU ARE THAT STATUE.
You might have spent years covering your "gold" - your beautiful energy, your wit, your own dreams - under layers of "shoulds" and expectations. You've navigated the hard seasons, and proven you can survive almost anything. But now you're running on empty. You aren't just tired; you're soul-exhausted and standing at a crossroads. You’ve mastered everyone else's story - is it finally time to write your own, on your terms?
I’m here to help you chip away the clay and to support you as you uncover the vibrant, passionate powerhouse woman who has been there all along.

simple, practical, and restorative
You don’t need another to-do list; you need a new way of being. Whether you want to make big moves or small, quiet shifts - you have full permission to want more for yourself.
In our sessions, midlife coaching for women focuses on three core pillars:
- We’ll identify the voices that keep you stuck in the clay - like the Perfectionist who says it’s not good enough, or the Pleaser who says you can't say no. We’ll quiet that noise so you can finally hear your own wisdom.
- We’ll clarify your true goals and move past the "shoulds" to find what actually makes you feel alive. We use your natural strengths to design a life that finally feels authentic and like yours.
- We’ll design soul-deep habits that protect your energy and ensure your life reflects your soul’s truest wishes. This is about becoming, not just doing.
Melanie on how Linda's compassionate, grounding coaching helped her navigate one of the biggest transitions of her life - without losing sight of where she was headed.
Amanda on what it looked like when compassionate, practical coaching touched every part of her life - personal, professional, and family - in just eight weeks.
Cory came in stretched thin and running on empty. Coaching helped her set boundaries, let go of perfection, and find calm - even through the hardest surprises life threw at her.

Midlife coaching is a future-focused partnership centered on identity reclamation, mental fitness, and proactive change. While therapy often looks backward to heal past trauma, coaching focuses on "how" you want to live your future.
Many women I work with feel "soul-exhausted" but don't necessarily need clinical treatment. They need a strategic realignment. We use frameworks like Positive Intelligence® to address the root causes of burnout, like the Perfectionist or Pleaser voices. Think of it as "chipping away the clay" of societal expectations. We are uncovering the "gold" of who you already are rather than fixing something that is broken. It is a high-accountability process for women ready to design their next chapter with clarity.
Positive Intelligence® (PQ®) is a science-based system that builds the mental muscles you need to stay calm and clear-headed during stress. It helps you identify the internal "Saboteurs" that cause self-doubt so you can shift into a more powerful, resilient mindset.
Most transformation efforts fail because they rely on willpower alone. PQ® focuses on building actual mental fitness. By identifying your specific mental blocks, we stop the "hijacking" that leads to exhaustion and indecision. This is especially helpful during big changes like career pivots or family shifts. It allows you to make choices based on your true values (your gold) rather than reacting out of fear or old habits.
We usually start with a 7-week foundation in Positive Intelligence® which requires you to watch a one-hour lesson in the PQ® app to prepare you for the week ahead. In addition to that, we usually meet once a week for coaching and support, and you will practice about 15 min daily on the PQ® app to slowly rewire your brain over time.
Once the foundations are set after seven weeks, we continue with deeper coaching and we can be more flexible with our schedule. Meeting 2, 3 or 4 times per month is ideal. Everything I provide, from book summaries and meditations to journaling prompts, is a warm invitation. It is never a "must-do" list. . We pull tools from ancient wisdom and modern science to support your growth. This investment usually gives you time back by stopping the energy leaks of people-pleasing and indecision and by being truly intentional with yourself, your goals, your time. You won't just be doing more; you will be becoming more.
Soul-exhaustion happens when your life looks great on paper but feels empty on the inside. You might feel like you’re living on autopilot or that your "gold" - your passion and wit - has been buried under years of "checking the boxes" for others.
Standard burnout is often about having too much to do. Soul-exhaustion is about who you are being while you do it. You might feel a nagging sense that "there must be more to life" or find it hard to set boundaries without guilt. This is the "clay" becoming too heavy to carry. Recognizing this is the first step toward reclaiming your identity and writing your own story on your own terms.
Yes, these transitions are exactly what midlife coaching is built for. We work to redefine who you are outside of your roles as a mother, employee, or caregiver so you can step into your "Second Act" with confidence.
For many women, their identity has been tied to caregiving for decades. When that role changes, it can leave a vacuum. We use the PQ® framework to navigate the grief of the transition while uncovering what actually makes you feel alive now. We move from "who needs me?" to "what do I want to create?" This is the time to invest in the personal growth that was likely sidelined while you were busy taking care of everyone else.
Yes, Linda Bartholme Coaching & Consulting works with teams and organizations to build resiliency through burnout prevention workshops, workplace wellness programs and "mental fitness".
Using the Positive Intelligence® framework, I help teams bridge the gap between their potential and their actual performance. Research involving over 1 million participants across 50 countries shows that:
- The 80/20 Gap: Approximately 80% of teams and individuals score below the "tipping point" for peak performance, meaning they are frequently sabotaging their own productivity and well-being.
- Performance Boost: Teams that reach a PQ (Positive Intelligence Quotient) score of 75 or higher perform 31% better on average across every key metric.
- Collaborative Excellence: After just seven weeks of Mental Fitness training, 92% of participants report being better at teamwork and collaboration, and 84% improve their conflict management skills.
- Burnout Prevention: 91% of participants report improved stress management, while 90% use their mental and emotional energy more effectively, directly addressing the root causes of organizational burnout.
By shifting from "Saboteur-led" stress to a "Sage-led" perspective, I help teams create a culture of clear-headed action. Whether in the Comox Valley or globally, this data-driven approach helps organizations retain talent and maximize their investment in people by "revealing the gold" within.
While coaching is not a medical treatment, it is highly effective in managing the mental and emotional response to physical challenges, such as chronic pain or perimenopause.
We will look at this from two different angles: First of all, by building "mental fitness" through the PQ® framework, you can reduce the stress hormones (like cortisol) that often exacerbate physical symptoms, helping you find strength and agency even in the midst of health transitions. Second, my background in Kinesiology also allows us to focus on the "7 Fundamentals" that are within your control: eating, moving, sleeping, breathing, focusing, celebrating and prospering. When you make positive physical changes, you naturally feel better mentally, which allows your identity and habits to shift more easily.
A Discovery Call is a 45 to 60-minute conversation to see if we are a good fit for each other. It is entirely permission-based; I will not force you into a sales pitch.
We will talk about your goals and what you hope to achieve, but also about what is getting in the way currently.
If you want to hear more about how my coaching works, I’ll be happy to elaborate on the Positive Intelligence® program and my 1:1 or group coaching sessions. But if it’s not the right next step for you, that is perfectly fine. My goal is to listen and help you find clarity, whether that leads to us working together or not. I am happy to support you in any way I can, either through sharing resources or giving you a referral to someone who might be a better fit.
I am based in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, BC, but my coaching practice is global. I work with women and organizations all over British Columbia, Canada and the Unite States, and worldwide through secure video calls.
Whether you are in Courtenay, BC, or halfway across the globe, the coaching experience is the same - deep, supportive, and transformational. For local clients, I occasionally offer in-person workshops, but my digital-first model ensures that busy women everywhere can access the Positive Intelligence® tools and coaching they need. This allows you to do this important work from the privacy of your own home, no matter your time zone. No need to get a babysitter either, you can stay home and connect with me online.
Motivation is a temporary feeling, but mastery is a lifelong practice of closing the gap between where you are and your ultimate potential. We aim to move you from theory to practice, and finally toward a sense of mastery in how you lead your own life.
Most of us already have enough "information." The challenge is moving that knowledge into daily practice. We know we'll never reach "perfection," but we are constantly closing the gap. By using Positive Intelligence® to build mental fitness, you create a new baseline. You don't just learn about your "gold" - you learn how to keep it revealed every single day, even when life gets messy. 20% is insight, 80% is practice.
